Fathers and sons...and fathers.

This last weekend was our wards Fathers and sons camp out. My dad came along and was a great help. You see, Like an idiot I raised my hand to volunteer to make dinner for everybody. Dad helped a lot and together we pulled off another successful batch of chicken and dumplings.

Here is Bishop Munroe in between paintball battles. I like paintball. It teaches leadership, teamwork, and one of my pet peeves, firearms safety.

Well, two out of three ain't bad.

Kellin is taking the time to let my Johnny squeeze off a few rounds. Johnny was one of the big boys for just a little while.

Okay, most of my family has seen this before. When it came time to serve everybody started taking pictures of it. I thought maybe a holy image had manifest itself in a dumpling, but no. Just chicken and dumplings.

Happy and dirty.

A call home to mommy to say goodnight. They said they did not miss mommy. They wanted to stay four more days.

Little boy right of passage. Burn sticks in the fire then try to poke your friends eye out with it.

I vaguely remember camping before folding camp chairs were invented. It involved sitting on rocks and stumps. I did not like that.

Finally Johnny's favorite part of camping. Riding wheelers. We went out a few times and took some really cool trails. We saw a few deer and a pile of elk bones that the guys had to take some back to show mommy. Mommy was ....thrilled.
