Catch Up

Tis the season to be out side. The last two weekends have been spent enjoying the Arizona weather. First John( I now call him Jo) and I went to a tractor show with grandpa and I. He really likes the tractors, but I think the real reason he came is because I told him he could wear his cowboy hat.

There is a small chance he we getting a little board being there by himself.

Then a miracle happened. COUSINS!!!

This last weekend was the ginormous Luke Days air show. It would have been really fun if it wasn't for the near record high of 90 deg. and the 8-9 miles of walking.

Osprey. Half helicopter, half airplane.
Buddies by a P-51 d Mustang.

Did I say it was warm? In the 4 hours we were there we went thru 4 Snapples , 8 bottle of water,....

.....and 4 ice creams. Filthy, sunburned, and happy.

Butterfly Safari

Can we actually grow gardens in the desert? Yep, and right now is the beginning of butterfly season. Saturday, Grandma Dee & Grandpa Rex organized a grandkids safari to the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix.

The gardens are also showing a Dale Chihully exhibit, so we went looking for some shiny things.

We call him Dad.....or Grandpa.

It happens every once in a while. We will be watching TV or a movie and one of us will say "He looks just like dad right there!". Maybe it's just a facial expression or a mannerism, but sometimes it can be uncanny. Here is a tribute to you Grandpa John.

The showman. even if it is for only 1 camera.

Okay, so they party a little differently.

I hope you still talk to me after this.

As Will likes to say. "We love you Codfish".
